Objective
"Project: MediCall Insight Engine: Secure Edge AI for Proactive Patient Care.
The Problem The EU and Ukrainian healthcare sectors face a ""triple threat"": critical workforce burnout (96% of operators report acute stress), dangerous triage errors (55% of sudden cardiac death calls are misclassified by ""text-only"" AI), and massive economic losses from patient no-shows ($150B annually). Current cloud-based solutions compromise data sovereignty and fail to detect acoustic signs of distress.
The Solution MediCall Insight Engine is the first Multimodal Medical Affective Computing system that transforms passive telephony into a proactive Clinical Decision Support System. Our Deep Tech innovation, Cross-Modal Temporal Alignment, synchronizes acoustic biomarkers (e.g. micro-tremors, breath patterns) with semantic content to detect critical conditions that patients cannot verbalize.
Key Innovations
1. Privacy-First Edge AI: Using Knowledge Distillation, we run powerful models locally on standard CPUs, ensuring 100% data sovereignty (GDPR-proof) and eliminating cloud dependency.
2. Green AI: The shift from cloud GPUs to local processing reduces energy consumption by 95% per inference.
3. Explainable AI (XAI): Unlike ""black boxes,"" our system visualizes decision factors (e.g. ""voice of pain"" + keywords) for doctors, ensuring compliance with the EU AI Act.
Measurable Impacts (M24)
1. Clinical Safety: Achieving Recall ≥ 95% for High-Risk conditions (suicide, heart failure) with real-time latency < 250 ms.
2. Economic Efficiency: The PCIE module reduces no-shows by 10-15%, generating €20k–€25k in net profit savings per clinic annually.
3. Social Value: Automated PTSD screening (critical for 54% of Ukrainians) and reduced administrative load.
Work Plan A 24-month roadmap to advance from TRL 4 to TRL 7. Activities include collecting a ""Gold Standard"" dataset (50k+ fragments) and conducting interventional pilots in 20-30 clinics across Poland, Germany, and Ukraine."
