KnowledgE for InterdisciplinarY Research Excellence at RSU

Objective

The KEY-RSU postdoctoral research programme is a six-year MSCA COFUND action implemented by Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) to recruit, train and support six postdoctoral researchers in biomedical and social sciences. It represents the first programme of its kind at RSU, marking a significant step in the university’s ambition to strengthen its research capacity, modernise researcher development practices and position itself more prominently on the European research map. KEY-RSU combines a structured 36-month MSCA-funded Phase 1 with a 24-month RSU-funded Phase 2, offering postdoctoral researchers an internationally competitive environment that integrates interdisciplinary research, tailored training, intersectoral secondments and responsible research assessment. This proposal outlines the planned programme’s selection process, training framework, research environment and overall implementation structure.
