Federated Unified Services advancing next generation data Exchange for CCAM

Objective

The future of Cooperative, Connected, and Automated Mobility (CCAM) is data-driven, yet the current landscape remains fragmented, costly, and insufficient to support the full data lifecycle. FUSE4CCAM addresses these challenges by delivering the CCAM Data Exchange Platform (CCAM-DEP): a federated, sustainable, and sovereign environment that interlinks existing and emerging initiatives including FAME, SYNERGIES, EONA-X, and EMDS guaranteeing a proven technology framework while avoiding duplication. Crucially, the project consortium comprises the foundational architects and coordinators responsible for these key previous results, ensuring the direct integration of mature assets to build the FUSE4CCAM solution while avoiding duplication.
FUSE4CCAM advances CCAM data interoperability by further harmonising taxonomies, ontologies, and interfaces in line with FAIR and SIMPL principles. Starting from ecosystem assets controlled by the partners, the project introduces important technological innovations, such as AI-based methodologies for seeking membership and automating data connectivity. This addresses requirements far beyond generic data spaces, tackling persistent barriers like real-time data streaming gaps and the need for high-quality datasets for AI training and validation.
Crucially, the project establishes a governance and federated certification framework built upon a leveled trust concept. This relies on strong cooperation with National Access Points (NAPs) and the NAPCORE project, providing compliance and certification services under the control of national bodies to ensure transparency and regulatory confidence. By delivering a strong CCAM dataspace brand, targeted business-uptake actions, and representative, stakeholder-driven use cases, FUSE4CCAM demonstrates concrete value creation, ensuring the platform evolves from a research infrastructure into a self-sustaining European asset for sovereign, data-driven mobility.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Keywords

Project’s keywords as indicated by the project coordinator. Not to be confused with the EuroSciVoc taxonomy (Fields of science)

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
