Microamp Any-G Wireless Platform

Objective

Across Europe, organisations that need private, high-throughput, ultra-low-latency wireless—transport hubs, industry, public safety and space/NTN actors—hit the ceiling of today’s sub-6 GHz 4G/5G latency and throughput. Incumbent stacks are closed, hardware-bound and require forklift upgrades at each standards/band shift; fragmented EU spectrum and stalled mmWave rollouts deepen the gap, leaving buyers without an affordable, future-proof path.
Microamp’s answer is Any-G: a reconfigurable mmWave platform (RU+gNB) with a programmable AI-PHY on high-speed FPGAs, an x86/ARM CU/DU stack and a modular RF front-end. The RF front-end seamlessly swaps from FR2 to future FR3/sub-THz simply by upgrading software/firmware instead of fully replacing hardware, cutting long-term CAPEX by up to 5x versus legacy systems. Crucially, it unites TDD and FDD at mmWave, enabling both terrestrial private networks and NTN/satellite-backhauled use.
Our market spans high-performance private wireless (industrial, transport, municipalities), NTN/backhaul, and mission-critical public sector. The global private high-performance wireless segment will reach ~€30B by 2030 at a 54.1% CAGR.
Our busines model assumes system sales now (pilots that scale to multi-node sites through system-integrator partners) and OEM licensing later (a drop-in mmWave engine for vendors that struggle with uplink, duplexing or future bands). The team combines deep mmWave/RAN engineering with seasoned go-to-market leadership and plans to expand headcount materially as deployments scale.
With EIC funding, we will complete Any-G development, secure compliance, stand up partner enablement, and accelerate the shift from pilots to repeatable deployments and initial OEM licensing revenues. The impact is both economic and strategic: a sovereign, field-proven European mmWave platform that unlocks modern industrial productivity and strengthens EU competitiveness and autonomy across terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Keywords

Project’s keywords as indicated by the project coordinator. Not to be confused with the EuroSciVoc taxonomy (Fields of science)

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
