Methodology for Applications of Control in Real Time using Object Oriented Technology

Objective

The experiment will focus the integration of advanced Object Oriented Technology (OOT) and methods in the software development process of each of the proposers. This will be achieved through the use of CASE tools and the proper improvements of the proposers' current working practices in software development (this will involve training as well as organisational issues). This will affect to software upgrading and reusability, quality assurance and software tests, software documentation, and statistics analysis (errors, efficiency, etc.).

The points above will be carried out in the context of three well delimited applications: a Centralised Real-Time Control System of Public Lighting (in the case of ETRA), an In-Plant Control System (in the case of ROBOTIKER), and a Process Control (INGELECTRIC TEAM). These three applications, being different, have a common objective that is control of one process but in distinct environments. So that, on one hand, a common working methodology can be achieved, but on the other, it can be derived quite extensively-ranged conclusions out from the experiment.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
