Objective The findings of the project will aid the development of water treatment technology in Ireland and provide a basis for the achievement of an overall improvement in drinking water quality.Aluminium sulphate has traditionally been used for removal of colour and furbidity in surface water supplies by chemical coagulation. This project will study the effectiveness of the various coagulant chemicals available, at several locations.
