Consortium operational management platform river information services

Objective

The main objectives of COMPRIS are to enhance the existing RIS concept. COMPRIS addresses management services which:

-enhance safety of inland shipping traffic in ports and rivers in a preventive sense and contributes to any remedial measures, which are deemed necessary by competent authorities
- protect the environment by providing dangerous goods information to competent authorities assigned to combat pollution within a predefined response time; emissions are also minimised
-expedite marine traffic, optimise inland port resources and manage traffic flows
-provide information to vessels concerning relevant resources (terminals and locks) as value added services The RIS concept shall be further defined, designed and demonstrated in an operational environment.
