European social database

Objective

The EUSODA EUropean SOcial DAtabase consists of the multilingual EUSODA Portal and local EUSODA databases. It provides private and professional clients and organisations with information about services and service providers in the social field. The local EUSODA databases are run by public or non-profit organisations that accept the service providers and check their basic data. The maintenance of the service descriptions is the responsibility of the service providers.

A system of social terms was developed in WP2 from existing data collections and building the EUSODA search tree and key words. These were evaluated by external social scientists in WP6. The EUSODA Portal and databases allow a European-wide location-related search to find the most feasible service. It was designed in WP3 by social workers, and programmed and tested in WP4 and 5. It was evaluated by users in WP6.

EUSODA is a user-friendly system, which is especially adapted to visually impaired people.
