Adaptation of a new energy and timesaving hard anodising process for different Al-alloys and tests in selected European industrial applications

Objective

SMEs in different EU member states will produce, install and test the new coated aluminium materials for existing applications as well as investigating new applications. In line with the results the anodising process design will be adapted. A further objective is to find new markets by substituting conventional steel and plastic based materials by the new product. A careful and controlled analysis of the long term behaviour and effectiveness of the material is an essential part of the proposal. A complete process analysis including efficiency, environmental impacts, and behaviour in the production processes as well as material and energy savings will be made.
