Definition of the characteristics of "sustainable communities" identification of success factors and dissemination of the concept

Objective

It is the objective of this project to bring scientific actors from different disciplines (RD&D on renewable energy integration, socio-economic and socio-empirical science) together with successful sustainable communities to analyse the key-success factors of sustainable communities and to present the gained information in the form of a guide in order to allow dissemination of this concept to the interested public, thereby contributing to the uptake of the sustainable communities concept within the EU and in Central and Eastern European Countries.

The project will offer a platform for discussion to all relevant RES stakeholders about the key-success factors, barriers and obstacles of sustainable communities. It brings several actors working in FP 5 demonstration projects on specific issues of sustainable communities together and aims at creating synergies between these actions.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
