Objective
The investigation will consider the future need for research to make feasible the implementation of the Decision Support Systems capable of coping with the mission at the gas operators level and, if considered necessary, at the European co-ordination level. The aim of the investigation is to find a common position among the major groups of actors involved in producing - storing - transporting, delivering and shipping natural gas in the context of the European gas market about the possible architectures of the Decision Support Systems.
Finally, this will deliver the database of the flows inside main trunks of the Gas transportation GRID used to draw the conclusions and recommendations. This accompanying measure will contribute to the preparation of future activities of RTD&D and to initiatives of public or policy interest, such as: 98/30 Directive particularly for what regards the monitoring of security of supply issues, pre-normative activities and harmonisation regulations.
