Objective This Marie Curie Excellence Grant proposal by team Leader N. Callewert focuses on the application of a technology core for the isolation, analysis and bioengineering of mannosylated glycoconjugates. This technology core is now sufficiently advanced to explore its utility in tackling a number of long-standing biomedical and biotechnological challenges: vaccine design, genomic analysis of pathogen glycoconjugate biosynthesis pathways, and production of sufficient quantities of homogenously glycosylated proteins for structural analysis.
