Transfer of European best practices to 5 NAC regions for improvement of innovation culture and skills

Objective

5SCHEMES is demand driven project of 5 RIS NAC regions - Wielkopolska, Warmia and Mazury, Slovenia, South Central Bulgaria and Cyprus to design specific innovation policy measures for: - Improvement of innovation management in companies, - Stimulation of R&D to serve the regional economy, - Innovation consulting services, - Innovation culture promotion, - Cluster support. The project objective is to: enhance implementation of RIS NAC action plans, use European expertise to design innovation support m easures, transfer best practices from EU Member States to RIS NAC regions. 5SCHEMES will achieve the objectives through: - Identification, watching and adopting of best practices in EU regions, - Use assistance of the best European experts in the field o f relevant innovation support schemes, - Scheme programming involving the regional actors and joined work of the partners and experts on universal methodology of the measure, - Collaboration with other schemes of Innovating Regions in Europe, - Disseminat ion of the project results among all European regions. The work of the project is broken down into 9 Workpackages: WP1. Management, WP2. Transfer methods of European best practices. WP3. Experts counselling arrangements. Each of WP4- WP8 is planned in the same format to work on the different schemes. WP9. Follow up strategy The project main results will be: 1. ready to implement specific schemes methodologies 2. improvement of skills of organizations responsible for development of innovation policy in t he NAC regions 3. increased impact of innovation measures on the region policies, 4. better use of structural funds, 5. ownership of the policy tools by the regional key players 6. active networking of the regions in the international context 7. better v isibility of European regional innovation policies in New Member States and Candidate Countries.
