Objective
The proposal is based on the need of the regional authorities to prepare a regional innovation strategy, which will be accepted by the wide range of stakeholders in the region and will confirm the principles of RIS methodology. The elaborated regional innovation strategy document will be prepared following the analysis outputs of the demand of SMEs for innovation, analysis of regional supply of services and the identification of gaps between demand, possibilities and existing innovation support structure.
The expectations of SMEs will be covered by actions, which will bring short-term results in pro-innovative conditions improvement. The pilot action reacting the current development of automotive sector will be carried out by initiating a cluster of t he companies in. The content of the RIS document will be enriched by the inputs of experts from partner regions involved in the project team. Another main feature of the project is a continuous consensus building in the region, which will lead not only to better understanding of innovation processes and procedures, but also to general support of activities, actions and events.
The management of the project as well as the methodology (ies) will be approved by the Steering Committee, which will supervise the most important steps of the project. The project duration is 32 months and it is divided into three stages: stage 0 Definition, stage 1 Analysis and the stage 2 Strategy definition. The project is thematically divided into 8 workpackages.
The project will be co-ordinated by the Self-Governing Region of Trnava and the work will be carried out by consortium including co-ordinator, the City of Trnava, Regional Development Agency of Trnava region, Slovak Technical University - Faculty of Material Science and Technology in Trnava (MtF), BIC Bratislava and META Group S.r.l. (META) representing region of Umbria with implemented RIS project.
