Objective
The overall objectives of this project are to provide a characterization of situation of air quality in Iasi (Romania) area. Emissions of pollutants compounds in Iasi region is not monitoring at present. However, many hot-spot areas remain at risk especially in industrial area.
The project will be focused on multiple field studies investigating the atmospheric pollutants of air in rural, urban and industrial atmospheres. Air pollutants and meteorological parameters will measure in site stations.
The high frequency measurement from these studies will provide knowledge regarding the temporal and spatial variability of atmospheric pollutants concentrations. It is the aim of project to use principal component analysis techniques for the classification of the high concentration episodes and the construction of maps of the spatial distribution of near-surface concentrations.
This project offer the opportunity a monitoring station for air quality from which data can be reported at European level.
