European Biotech SME/Regions Partnering, Promotion and Networking in China

Objective

EFBIC Yellow aims to promote partnership, joint ventures and collaboration between European Biotech SMEs, European regional/agencies and the Chinese Biotech community. The objectives are to: Inform, educate and facilitate European SMEs to develop partneri ng collaborations with emerging Chinese Pharma Corporations; Provide regional and local European agencies with unique and practical access to promising partners in the Chinese market; Promote and disseminate the distinctive competencies and innovations of the European Biotech to key stakeholders in the now sizeable Chinese Biotech market. The EFBIC Yellow 18-month project will utilise the experience and networks of its international consortium to further develop the opportunities and synergies for cooperat ive activities and support the advancement of new partnerships.The project takes advantage of recent advancements in the Chinese Biotechnology sector and of the growing need for European Biotech companies to internationalise and commercialise European Biot ech innovations on a larger scale. The EFBIC Yellow project comprises of 2 partnering events in China and 2 information sessions in Europe, web dissemination tools and an extensive networking and liaison initiatives in both Europe and China. Over the cours e of the project it is expected that all key stakeholders in innovative European Biotech and Chinese Biotech organisations will be made aware of the EFBIC Yellow initiatives.The consortium consists of: BioMedico Forum- a pan European biomedical association with strong linkages in China; Europe Unlimited -a pan European investment and biotech event specialist; China National Center for Biotechnology Development - a national management center for biotechnology and its industry.
