AXILES Bionics: Solaris Project

Periodic Reporting for period 1 - Solaris Project (AXILES Bionics: Solaris Project)

Reporting period: 2023-07-01 to 2024-06-30

Amputation of a lower limb leads to permanent disability, adversely affecting physical condition and mental well-being, diminishing the quality of life. Rehabilitation involves the use of bionic assistive devices, with prosthetics being favored for their ability to restore daily activities naturally and enhance self-esteem. Choosing an appropriate prosthetic foot is essential for improving the quality of life. Axiles Bionics aims to fill the clear world-wide market gap with next-generation bionic prostheses combining advanced robotics & AI, ensuring complete adaptation to amputee’s lifestyle.
Our development is progressing towards a commercial product: AI-powered active-power electromechanical device. The fundamental principle behind their operation is dorsiflexion/plantar flexion motion control, made possible by an optimised motorised mechanism and AI
By virtue of its features, our technology creates a revolutionary cost-effective market concept “Prosthetics-as-a-Service” (PraaS) with our Solaris design. Our PraaS model ensures component-to-component maintenance, daily data gathering & monitoring system, predictive maintenance, and continuous upgrades.
