Commercialising a smart cardiac implant platform for the treatment of chronic cardiovascular disease

Objective

Every year chronic cardiac disease causes 3.9 million deaths in Europe, that’s a death every 8 seconds. Overall chronic cardiac disease is estimated to cost the EU €210 billion/yr, in direct healthcare costs. All chronic cardiac disease patients are at high risk of stroke, atrial fibrillation, &/or heart failure
The AuriGen platform is single minded in its focus on the leading causes of death in the developed world – Cardiovascular Diseases. Allowing more complex patients to be treated more effectively, and at a lower cost per patient.
AuriGen’s platform of 4 devices is built around our custom cardiac implant, to which we can add synergistic modules such as cardiac monitoring, ablation or both modules. Creating devices which are much more than the sum of their parts, this our key USP. Allowing AuriGen to efficiently & effectively manage the most expensive & sub-optimally treated patients, in a single, safe, fast minimally invasive procedure.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme
