Objetivo

VASCO is aimed at engineering a videotelephone device for standard telephone lines (PSTN), for communication by hard-of-hearing and deaf users. The key innovation is the use of a special-purpose spatially variant visual sensor which represent a unique European technology and optimally matches the spatial and temporal resolution of the human eye. The starting point is a prototype, developed in a previous EU funded project (TIDE Project IBIDEM)
