IMPROVED LASER PROCESSES FOR THE MANUFACTURING OF GOLD JEWELLERY

Objective

Development of laser equipment to satisfy the needs of the precious metals industry for advanced production systems. The equipment is based on a new laser process technology developed in BRITE Research Project. Processes range from welding
oldering, cutting, drilling, engraving and surface decoration. Further development has been a technological approach to granulation, a very ancient goldsmithing technique.
