Objective
The objective of The Making of Europe is to make a CD-I title that gives a better insight into how Europe became what it is today.
Following the rules of today's and tomorrow's ways of dealing with the past, taking here and now, rather than there and then as the starting point of the story. The silent witnesses of today will tell cultural history through different angles, from a general point of view to detailed examination. In this way, the title will meet the several levels of consumer interest.
The CD-I will be made in 2 phases. The definition phase is to make sure that content and technology are brought together, and exclude as many problems as possible in order to make the implementation phase as smooth as possible.
The partners in this project have the objective of establishing a stable future cooperation in making CD-Is with the involvement of several small and medium sized enterprises. They are aiming to make outstanding CD-I titles with a typical European signature for youngsters and adults. We hope that working together in the IMPACT setting will give us the opportunity to meet many CD-I makers, publishers, marketers and distributors that have the same goal.
