Co-ordination action biofuel cities European partnership

Objective

The Co-ordination Action Biofuel-Cities European Cities (CAB-CEP) aims at:

- building an attractive European Partnership in which biofuel and energy efficient vehicle stakeholders and local governments and industrial and commercial end-users meet and are encouraged to form new partnerships. This, in order to accelerate on the short term the market introduction of biofuels and energy efficient vehicles within the opportunities local sustainable mobility policies offer, and on the longer term to stimulate the continued market penetration of biofuels to develop both the biofuel developments through identification of strategic R&D needs and the joint development of the sustainable mobility and environmental policies;

- validating the results and monitor in an independent and uniformed way the progress of biofuel projects, both R&D and demonstration, in order to advice industrial and commercial stakeholders, national local government and the European Commission on further implementation of biofuels.
