Exploitable results
The BIW workshop provides a business pull perspective to an organisation's investment strategy for information management, information technology and information systems. It does this by relating business processes, capabilities and effects to relevant enabling technologies. The objectives of the workshop are to:
- Provide an opportunity for the Client Management Team to reinforce business direction and objectives in underwriting its IT strategy;
- Provide a framework for clear and joint articulation of relevant business drivers within the Client's medium term information plan;
- Provide a forum for the Management Team to agree associated management initiatives to underpin their plan.
BIW is an interactive working session (less than one day) focused on establishing a business-driven rationale for "IT Investment". Attended by Process Industry staff and supported by facilitators experienced in the Process Sector, BIW provides results and conclusions aimed at improving a company's IM/IS/IT investment strategy.
