Objective
Develop catalytic substrates and corresponding catalytic burners characterised by high radiative power output, which are suited for lacquer and stain drying in correspondingly built and adjusted tunnels;
Reduce power consumption of drying tunnels for transparent and pigmented lacquers and stains by 30 to 50 % as compared to current processes (convective or (electric) radiative tunnels);
Determine the types of coatings which may suitably be dried or hardened by the developed process and which present the lowest possible environmental impact;
Ensure that the high required industrial quality standards of the coated products are preserved and verify the safety of the process.
