Periodic Report Summary - SERVPPIN (The contribution of public and private services to European growth and welfare, and the role of public-private innovation networks)

Overview of progress

This progress report is intended to give a picture of the months 18 to 28 of the SERVPPIN project. During this period, a major part of the efforts was dedicated to the production of working papers, elaboration of some case studies and organisation and implementation of the International SERVPPIN / RESER Conference.

Work package (WP) 1-2-3 were almost finalised during the reported period. According to the DoW the first half of the deliverables corresponding to these WPs (D1.1 D2.1 and D3.1) were sent at the end of month 18. The work carried on during the months from 18 to 24 (ending date for WPs 1-2-3) will take part of the final set of deliverables and sent at the end of the project (month 36). Nevertheless the researches that took place during this period are presented within the present report. In few words, a comprehensive knowledge framework on the service economy, innovation in services and network implementation was created within these WPs.

Case studies under WP 4-5-6 were finalised during the reported period. According to the DoW the first half of the deliverables corresponding to these WPs (D4.1 D5.1 and D6.1) were sent at the end of month 18. The work carried on during the months from 18 to 30 (ending date of WP 4-5-6) will take part of the final set of deliverables and sent at the end of the project (month 36). Nevertheless the researches that took place during this period are presented within the present report. In few words, all the case studies were finalised and developed in order to prepare them for possible publications.

SERVPPIN teams are currently working on the tasks included within WP7. The organisation and the bulk part of the work were carried on during the reported period.

The diffusion of knowledge WP8 experienced during the reported period its main task: the organisation and the implementation of the Budapest conference. According to the DoW it was held jointly with the European Association for Research on Service international conference in order to present the outcomes of the project to a wide scientific community.
