Objective The Large Hadron Collider at CERN will dominate particle physics research for the next few years. It is the first collider at which production of the heavy top quark will occur with a very high frequency. This proposal concerns the development of theoretical and computational tools to predict and analyse top quark production, together with detailed phenomenological studies of heavy quark processes in collaboration with the LHC experimental community.
