Objective
The proposal includes tasks that directly assist the EU CCT industry to develop technology and innovation strategies, particularly with respect to the Kyoto mechanisms and to bridging the gap between RTD and demonstration. The aim of this proposal, which will better enable EU companies to complete with their USA and Japanese competitors, is to simulate the commercial deployment of tools to improve the market - pull for industry-driven technology development, and their initial implementation through integrated Europe-wide clean initiatives. In addition, the results of this proposal could potentially contribute to the EU gaining Certified Emission Reduction credits from the environmental benefits achieved by the EU CCT industry in developing countries.
