Objective
The key objective of EVA TREN is to further develop appraisal methods for large infrastructure projects in the development of trans European networks (TEN). The proposal has been tailored taking into account Community objectives, obligations and tasks in the field of both transport and energy. EVA TREN method and work programme are based on two pillars:
- Competent desk work to review approaches and experience in prioritising and monitoring the implementation of large infrastructure projects at both member states and international agencies in Europe and outside;
- Systematic, in-depth comparison of ex ante and ex-post appraisals of a limited number of large TEN infrastructure projects.
