Peripheral Regions Oriented Measure for Promotion of Technological Intelligence

Objective

The "PROMPT" project proposes to facilitate transnational technological cooperation and create the conditions for successful participation of organisations from peripheral regions of Europe in FP activities, through a threesome approach including the following activities:
an "upstream" role: the PROMPT partners must start by identifying the key sectors where their local organisations can contribute to European scientific and technological objectives.
a "downstream" role: in addition to bringing local companies to European consortia it is necessary to stimulate the submission of projects generated and coordinated at local level, as the way to promote sustainable technological partnerships.

For this the PROMPT partners will create a "think tank" of scientists, researchers and industrialists, recruited from their ranks and from invited personalities around Europe, which goal is to develop ideas for technological projects of FP within the relevant sectors previously identified._ finally a "mobilisation of human resources" role: successful transnational technological cooperation involving peripheral regions organisations - either as partner or as coordinator will only be possible if such organisations can rely on what is often their most scarce resource - qualified human resources; in order to address that problem, PROMPT partners will develop a campaign close to European research organisations and high-tech companies within the identified sectors in order to identify researchers, innovation managers and technicians with an experience of EU projects participations that are willing to align on "staff-exchange" schemes with researchers and technicians from peripheral regions organisations and companies.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

This project has not yet been classified with EuroSciVoc.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
