Objective
The BP fellowship programme aims at widening the trans-national mobility possibilities of the researchers and enabling the recruitment of quality researchers from world wide countries in Catalonia. Thus, it will promote career development opportunities for experienced researchers in the ERA. This programme addresses the incoming and outgoing schemes responding to the Research and Innovation Plan of Catalonia two main objectives: - To increase the dimension of the research and development system by attracting talent and promoting the insertion of young researchers into the system. - To boost the mobility of researchers in a trans-national level, allowing the transfer of knowledge between countries and regions within the EU and between the public and the private sectors. The Cofunding action will help to strengthen the BP programme by improving its conditions, extending the outgoing scheme with a return phase of one year and increasing the number of incoming fellowships. This fellowship offers the applicants the possibility to choose the research topic and the destination freely. This fact will increase trans-national possibilities of researchers for fitting their individual needs in an adequate host institution which will commit to provide competitive working conditions, reinforcing its requirements to meet the recommendations and principles of the “European Charter for Researchers and The Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers”. This action will endorse common and complementary objectives in the field of careers and mobility of researchers, creating synergies with the mobility community actions by adapting this regional programme to the "People" programme of the 7th Framework Programme.
