Resultados aprovechables
The result of the HELPMATE project is a prototype of an advanced support system for the maintenance of high technology installations. The HELPMATE system is being developed for high-tech installations in general, however the prototype will focus on a robot welding station, today in use at Odense Steel Shipyard. The prototype will be made available on a laptop, enabling a high level of mobility for the users. The system combines an existing computer aided software engineering (CASE) base reasoning tool, with existing multimedia and hypermedia information management technology, into an advanced decision support and information management system, for maintenance support. The HELPMATE system will focus on the operator, enabling him/her to perform more complex maintenance tasks and to gain better knowledge of the installation. It will increase the reliability of the machinery, and thereby decrease down-time; and increase the quality of the work performed by the machine.
