Objective
The objective of Q&IT2 is to exploit Quality concepts, methods and techniques by enterprises, using the possibilities offered by IT. The working group will carry out promotion, awareness and dissemination activities to enhance the exploitation of research results in 'Quality and IT' and to facilitate quality management up-take by European industrial enterprises, with a special focus on SMEs.
Q&IT2 addresses three basic up stream elements of the value-chain in quality and IT uptake,
- R&D, by identifying synergies between projects and collecting users' requirements;
- Results promotion/dissemination, by organising joint actions and by collaborating with existing initiatives;
- Recommendations for future activities.
The main objectives of the project are,
- To integrate new ESPRIT IiM quality projects into the quality cluster;
- To collect quality information in several industrial sectors;
- To reduce an updated 'road map' of R&D in 'Quality and IT';
- To propose an approach to the production of unified public deliverables of quality projects;
- To develop an efficient collaboration with the network of excellence ICIMS-NOE;
- To develop a WWW page on 'Quality and IT' activities and results;
- To organise 'Quality and IT' workshops, and to promote quality and industrial exploitation;
- To promote material to support 'Quality and IT' activities;
