Final Report Summary - TCCECJ (Theologies of conversion to Christianity in early modern east-central Europan Judaism)
This project aimed to reconstruct and analyze Jewish theological responses to conversion to Christianity. We collected a large body of previously unknown archival material in archives and libraries in Israel, Germany, the Czech Republic, the US, Poland, and the Vatican. We selected the most important sources and prepared four critical editions thereof. Moreover, members of the team wrote papers either analyzing specific texts or discussing wider implications of our research. Several international conferences were organized within the framework of the project. A book containing collection of essays discussing the theme of the project has been prepared for publication.
