Objective
"The project aims to provide an integrated theoretical model to understand the use of the ""local ownership"" concept in contemporary peace missions, through the prism of the international involvement in the Balkans (Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina) and in Africa (Liberia and Sierra Leone). The project will zero in on the use of the ""local ownership"" concept, drawing from the literature on development studies and security sector reform and applying these insights to the field of peace missions."
