STAKEHOLDERtool - a software platform for TTT stakeholders to bridge SMEs with IRCs at lower costs and higher success

Objective

This Project addresses the following main issues:
1) Reduction of invested resources (time, money) to achieve TTT agreements
2) Enhancing the visibility of the IRC network among SMEs
3) Increasing competitiveness of European SMEs ad 1) Efficiency It is evident, that IRCs spend about two-thirds of their time with preparatory activities (awareness raising, contact establishment, assistance, writing TT profiles,..) leading to expressions of interest (EOI), which are the most promising starting point for TTT agreements. The goal of this proposal is the development and integration of IT tools in stakeholder websites.
These IT tools allow SMEs to scan the IRC TT profile database for any relevant branch-specific European inventions within the stakeholder website. First trials have shown that this strategy directly leads to additional EOIs without involving the above mentioned time-consuming activities. After the development of the IT tools and the test phase, the consortium partners will identify 25 interested stake holders (clusters, networks, ..) taking over the IT interfaces. In a test phase, fine tuning and evaluation of first results will be carried out. Afterwards the consortium will disseminate tools and know-how (workshops, promotion material, Do's and Don'ts) within the whole IRC network. ad 2) Visibility It is obvious, that SMEs most likely visit their branch-specific stakeholder's website and not IRC websites. Therefore, stakeholders are a very attractive door opener for IRCs to acquire new clients. Once a client is accessing the IRC TT profile database via the stakeholder website, the IRC also gets the chance to present additional core IRC services (audits, newsletter, trade missions, brokerage events, ....). ad 3) Economic benefits for SME s Conservative calculations show that these measures will lead to a yearly increase of the economic turnover of SMEs of about 6 M Euros, thus by far exceeding the one-time proposal costs of 0.5 M E
