BUILDING USEGUL NCP NETWORKS

Objective

The project aims to increase the co-operation between organisations of the partner countries in scientific and technological research areas related with the seven FP6 thematic priorities. BUSNET will enable National Co-ordinators of NCPs, public bodies for SMEs and public research centres of the partner countries to increase the, up to now, very weak level of cooperation within framework programmes. BUSNET will create an environment to stimulate, encourage and facilitate the joint participation of research teams and SMEs of the partner countries in FP6. Through the right combination of expertise and competence the partners will be able to address in depth the four main topics of the call: - Bringing together the National Co-ordinators of NCPs to organise networking and joint support activities in all the thematic priorities. - Undertaking of individual actions for SMEs to develop their internal skills for continuous innovation to increase their competitiveness and promote SME participation in Integrated Projects and Networks of Excellence. - Networking the research institutes will facilitate the exchange of research personnel and joint projects among the research institutes involved in the network, as well as technology transfer and dissemination of scientific results between them and to interested companies. - Organise information events on FP6. The specific objectives are: i) Systematic exchange of information and best practices concerning the NCPs tasks; ii) Supporting activities between partners in monitoring, advising and consulting project proposals from SMEs, research centres and universities from BUSNET countries; iii) active joint proposal stimulation through workshops and brokerage events.
