Stimulating, Encouraging and Facilitating the Participation of ACC Nanotechnology and Nanoscience Research Organisations To FP6

Objective

The STEF-NANO-ACC project proposes a coherent action plan for increasing participation of Associated Candidate Countries in NMP priority of FP6. The activities planned will also contribute to the creation of ERA by facilitating ACC research potential wider cooperation within FP6 initiatives as well as other ways of cooperation between ACC themselves as well as Member States and third countries. The plan of STEF-NANO-ACC will also renew enthusiasm in science and research for NMP all over Europe. The core of the project is WP1 which relates to organisation of conferences, workshops and brokerage events in Poland and Hungary. Part of WP1 activities relating to conference in Poland will be combined with the INDUSTRYLINK project. The identification of young research potential in NMP aiming among other things to renew enthusiasm in Europe will be carried out in WP2. Identified outstanding young researchers (women will be more preferable) will take part in different activities of envisaged in the project. All activities will be coordinated according to WP3 being in charge for the high quality of deliverables of the whole project. The European R&D associations for NMP are associated to the project on the basis that they or their members will be invited to strategic activities of the project (like brokerage events) as well as will be informed about the deliverables of the project. The project will cooperate with the European network of NCPs mainly from MS to improve the capacities of researchers of ACC and to facilitate cooperation between ACC partners and MS partners.
