Objective
The proposed Innovation Relay Centre Poland North-East (NEPIRC) has been created by the following organisations: University Technology Transfer Centre of Warsaw University(UTTC)-Coordinator, University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn(UWM),Technology Transfer Centre of East(TTCoE) of University of Bialystok, Lublin Technology Transfer Centre(LCTT) of Lublin Technical University and CASE-Advisors Ltd.(CASE).NEPIRC covers three less-favoured regions of Poland: warminsko-mazurskie, podlaskie and lubelskie. Their GDP per capita is far less then 0.7-0.75 of average in Poland. Consortium is built in two dimensions: regional and transregional. In regional dimension three regional partners UWM, TTCoE and LCTT will perform IRC core activity in their regions of responsibility. For UWM it is warminsko-mazurskie, for TTCoE it is podlaskie and for LCTT it is lubelskie. In transregional dimension activity of UTTC and CASE is proposed to support insufficient regional resources. Those will support partners with high quality services for their clients, focused on knowledge and know-how transfer. NEPIRC strategic objective is to provide cost-effective services that promote transnational technology transfer (TTT) co-operation which responds to specific regional needs. This strategic objective will be achieved through 3 operational objectives:
1.Enhancement SMEs competitiveness by supporting inward TTT focused on regional specific technology needs.
2.Identifying exploitable technologies and research in the NEPIRC regions and promoting them in Europe.
3.Strengthening regional partners linking them with IRC network to adopt best European practices in providing TTT services.
Objectives will be realized through activities in 9 Workpackages. The most important expected results of the project are:·2500 clients aware of TTT opportunities,·60 clients assisted in a process of stimulation the capacity to adopt new technology-16 TTT agreements
