Objective
"This proposal seeks funds to support research in the area of data analysis of Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) data sets. The final purpose of the proposed project is to enable an efficient and comprehensive exploitation of the future CMB data sets and their potential to shed light on some of he most fundamental questions of the modern cosmology: the nature of dark energy, dark matter and inflation. To facilitate this goal we propose to develop a flexible, statistically robust and computationally efficient CMB data analysis pipeline capable of addressing needs of the future CMB polarization experiments. The produced pipeline is expected to be general and applicable to a broad class of scanning experiments. It will be based on novel data analysis methods, algorithms and software tools, which we plan to devlop in order to meet the goals set in this project. As a part of this work, we will apply the developed pipeline to some of the currently planned CMB polarization experiments to help with their optimization and design. We will also employ it to the analysis of the data sets produced by those experiments, once they become available. This proposal will support the relocation of Dr. R. Stompor back to Europe and will help him to develop this line of research at the APC institute in Paris."
