Objective

SWIM will be the main technical enabler for the implementation of the European ATM Network, foreseen in the Single European Sky Legislation. The SWIM-SUIT project aims to demonstrate the feasibility of initial System Wide Information Management functionality for the Air Transport System.

Starting from the OSEDs, provided by C-ATM Phase 1, the SWIM-SUIT Project will firstly specify the Requirements of ATM Information Management, by means of the expertise of the wide Users participation to the Project as ANSPs, Airlines and Airports. Secondly a tailoring of the requirements will be done to define the context of the SWIM-SUIT prototype. Then a SWIM-SUIT Prototype will be specified, designed, developed and tested by means of several existing Users Applications as ACC/APP Centers, Airport CDM, Airlines Operating Center, CFMU, Flight Simulator which will be connected to the test-bed.
