Estonian Network of Mobility Centres

Objective

The Mobility Strategy for ERA points out that in order to achieve an improved research system, a more favourable environment for transnational and intersectorial mobility throughout the research career must be created. The present project, "Estonian Network of Mobility Centres", aims at raising the level of information and assistance provided to incoming and outgoing mobile researchers in Estonia and thus contributing to the creation of more favourable conditions for mobility within the ERA. This objective will be achieved by setting up a network consisting of two bridgehead organisations appointed by the Estonian Ministry of Education and Research and three regional mobility centres in major public universities in Tallinn and Tartu. The network will concentrate on providing reliable, up-to-date information and personalised assistance to mobile researchers, as well as increasing the visibility of the efforts undertaken to implement the Mobility Strategy for ERA - in particular the European Researchers' Mobility Portal and the ERA-MORE Network - on national level. The activities of the network include training of staff, organising of information days and workshops, publications for the researcher community, setting up the Estonian Mobility Portal and help desk for mobile researchers.
