Objective
Valorisation is the translation of knowledge into commercially viable products or services. This is acknowledged to be a global process which can no longer be isolated at a regional or even national level. However, each EU Member has been taking a different approach in their national and regional programmes that support it. The overall impact is therefore suboptimal in terms of economies of scale and duplication of common activities.
The fundamental objective of VALOR is to coordinate and network key players in innovation policy to develop a common agenda and Joint Action plan for the valorisation process across Europe. This will enable high potential innovation to be identified and supported at an earlier stage _ even within ongoing programmes, enabling the appropriate supporting measures to be put in place and thereby maximising the effectiveness and scope of programmes currently being undertaken at the national or regional level.
