Objective
The objective of this project is to establish a secretariat to support the Technology Platform for the Electricity Networks of the Future (SMARTGRIDS) in efficient and transparent management of platform activities, projects, results and communication strategy and so contribute to achieving the statutory platform objectives and ensure their highest quality. Main activities: -Support to the platform groups in organisation and management of periodic meetings -Generation of high-quality results - implementing monitoring activities and quality control reviews of deliverables -Internal IT support service for communication, document and knowledge management. -Implantation of communication strategy (information centre (public internet site), project info-tool, periodic newsletter and 2 international conferences. The consortium comprises two complementary partners uniting all necessary skills for successful completion of the objectives. AIZABALA - independent international consultancy of 50 professionals with: offices in Pamplona, Brussels and Madrid; 20 years experience in RTDI project management, own "Studio Knowledge Management tool" for internal knowledge management and managing innovation activities of 200 clients, profound knowledge of the Electricity Network sector through management and participation in over 20 European energy projects from FP4 to FP6 and in the preparation of Studies for the EC. OTTI e.V. has a 30-person strong team to coordinate and promote seminars, specialist forums and conferences, and a specifically dedicated Renewable Energies Department. This department has been responsible for a great number of national and international conferences for the energy community and most importantly, OTTI was responsible for the conference on the "Integration of Renewable Energy Resources held in December 2004 which was the origin of the SMARTGRIDS Platform.
