Objective
The aim of this research is to apply organic synthetic methodology developed in the Robertson group to the synthesis of natural products and their analogues that are known to possess, or have the potential to possess, anticancer activity. The target compounds are all oxygen heterocycles that will be assembled by an oxidative spiro-cyclisation process from furan derivatives.
