Objectif
The aim of the GREENpro project is the development and wide spread dissemination of three independent reference guides for biomass, solar thermal and photovoltaic systems. The manuals contain basic technical information on the individual system components as well as practical knowledge and give advice for design, installation and maintenance of the renewable system. As a goal, the project consortia would like to establish a European-wide manufacture-independent standard work for the above-mentioned renewable technologies. Beside the general technical part, the manuals contain specific national or local information on RES promotion programmes, feed in laws, and local key actors, in order to make them a valuable and practical tool for installers, architects, developers. The guides will be published in 6 EU-languages, and will be promoted and disseminated in 6 EU countries (Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, UK, and Germany). The market introduction of the compendiums will be accompanied by a comprehensive dissemination phase, involving renown professional publishers, thus helping to create a positive image of RES and promote its use.
Description:
Regarding the solar thermal and photovoltaic guides, the project consortium can fall back on the valuable work and experience of the project partner DGS who already successfully released a manual for each of these systems. The good practice obtained from the dissemination of both guides (over 5000 copies sold in Germany) will be transferred to other EU countries and extended with some national and local contents. Additional information on concentrating solar system and process heat installation will be added to the solar thermal compendium. The main area of work of the GREENpro project will be put on the preparation of a completely new reference guide for biomass systems. The project focuses its- efforts on the realisation and operation of small and medium scale bioenergy applications for heat and/or electricity generation, mainly for household and industrial clients. The guide will contain information on biomass resources and their characteristics, necessary logistics, and a range of successful biomass conversion technologies. Therefore, practical information and data for the design, installation, operation and maintenance as well as on the economic efficiency of the systems will be included. The core of the three guides will be translated, so that they are available in all 6 above mentioned languages. These core versions will then be enriched by the national partners with valuable nation-specific data, consisting of specific national and regional support programmes for RES, an overview of the legal situation on permits, the electricity feed-in remuneration systems, and the key actors (e.g. component manufacturer, utilities, financial institutions, support agencies).
The 7 work packages of the projects are:
1) biomass guide preparation;
2) solar thermal guide expansion;
3) national adaptations of the photovoltaic guide;
4) national adaptations of the solar thermal guide;
5) national adaptations of the biomass guide;
6) layout, typesetting and printing and;
7) dissemination.
The outcome of the project will be the dissemination of standardized promotion material focusing on small to medium scale biomass installations and on photovoltaic and solar thermal applications. Beside the technical aspects, an emphasize will be put on national and local contents and practical advices to achieve a wide distribution and acceptance of the reference book, especially in those EU countries with a low renewable energy portfolio (e.g. Italy, France, Spain and Portugal). Therefore special national editions will be prepared and disseminated by each national coordinator.
A large part of the dissemination will go through renown publishers in the renewable energy field. The results will be summarized in three independent guides and published in form of a high-quality loose-leaf binder but also in digital form by means of CD-ROMs and Internet. It is planned to print altogether more than 10'000 copies of the different national compendiums for biomass, photovoltaic and solar thermal. By distributing the guides among small-scale and medium-scale consumers and key actors, the guides may help to increase the degree of familiarity and stimulate and support the development of up to 200'000 new renewable energy installations within the EU.
