Objectif
There is a primary strategic goal as the use of the most relevant project European-wide accepted as sustainable urban developments references, to convince other urban actors that replicating conscious-energy concepts is technically possible, economically viable and socially rewarding. The project aims to secure a European-scale replication of either technologies, good building practices, financing schemes, energy codes, comprehensive integration of RES & RUE in buildings and ESCo that have been developed and implemented in the District of Kronsberg in Hannover. It is expected to break the barriers existing at national levels to incorporate large-scale energy-saving solutions in urban areas and implement a communication channel among experts of five distinct nationalities that hold relevant responsibility over their national building sectors.
Description:
Working procedure is innovative, and likely effective: by means of a tailored program (introduction workshops different to any participant sector, in every country and with specific training material, followed by on-site 'hands-on' meetings with responsible counterparts), the project will secure that representatives from Spain, Italy, France, UK and Germany involved in City Planning, architecture, construction and energy servicing, will get direct information of how to plan, manage, implement, finance and social integrate the solutions that might find an immediate replication. As a first step, the project is securing the participation of extensive building sector groups not connected to the site, which are or will be engaged in developing areas where energy-saving and sustainable concepts could be incorporated. Assurance of this participation will rely in the help of key national organizations In a second step, project will manage that site will be fully opened to in-depth visits while authorised and direct responsible for concrete development tasks Indicators of success and project progress will be elaborated.
A group of over 50 participants per country containing relevant members of municipal associations, urban planners, architect councils, developers and builders stressing the incorporation of private and public housing programs that should have short-term project plans to medium-to-large size urban developments in no less than 5 cases per country. The extent of activities and the combination of energy and building experiences should also influence long-term and transnational urban policies in areas such as: Implementing advanced energy codes beyond national standards/Improving an effective integration of RES in buildings/Helping ESCo's programs to adopt efficient decentralised and RE supported systems/Enlarge the know how transfer among the building experts.
