On some open problems about curves in Algebraic geometry

Objective

After four years of full-time research during my PhD Thesis, a partnership with the French Ecole Polytechnique and the Indian Tata institute of Fundamental Research represents the best opportunity to widen my mathematical expertise as well as to establish a strong relationship with the top ranked researchers (especially in my field of interest) in a country that is called to play a major role in the beginning century.

On the one hand, my Thesis work raised several questions of interest. One the other hand, this excellence partnership will help me to understand deeply the background of some important open problems I am interested in order to be able to contribute to their resolution.
