Objective
The contract concerns the manufacturing, testing, installation and operation of a Langmuir Probe System (LPS) for the diagnosis of Divertor Plasma of ASDEX-Upgrade (AUG).
According to the "Engineering Design" the LPS will be a fast movable, computer controlled, multi-tip Langmuir Probe System consisting of:
The Mechanical Subsystem, which will ensure the accurate positioning and fast movement of the probe head in the measurements area under undisturbed UHV conditions.
- The Electrical Subsystem which actuates the probe movements and permits the measurements of plasma parameters.
- The Data Acquisition and Control Subsystem which control the probe movements and assure the data collection and storage.
