Objective
On the 22nd of September 2006, five big events will be organised in four Belgian cities in the Frame of the European Researchers' night. 7 partners have joined their forces in a consortium coordinated by the Belgian Federal Science Policy (belspo), including 4 of the biggest Belgian Universities, 4 Federal scientific Institute merged for the occasion in a unique Space Pole and one High School.
All partners agreed on a common publicity campaign, a common communication and last but not least; a common basic activity consisting of a photographies exhibition completed with an original audiovisual show. Next to this; freedom has been given to the partners, so the Belgian researchers' night will be the unique opportunity to see men feeding sharks, a science fiction movies in Kortrijk; a Jazz concert in Louvain la neuve, a unique base ball game at the Planetarium, and a unique event in the centre of the Brussels' night life.
The main message that the organisers intend to communicate is that researchers are people like you and me, and it is in this way that all the audiovisual supports will be directed. After that evening, researchers will be considered much closer from the audience, having as consequence that research and science can be envisageable for a future career.
