Objective
Researchers' night will be organized and presented to Romanian audience through a well conducted media campaign trying to raise the public awareness for an exceptional event where scientists, young people, artists and teachers can meet and talk to each other.
Aimed to create public recognition of the excellence in the most important social domain, Researchers' Night organized in Romania will be a moment when public personalities will pay attention to this European initiative. At national level, Romania is f acing a poor visibility regarding research activities towards the large public, as inventions, innovations and outstanding scientific results in various fields are mostly disseminated inside the scientific community.
Also, young Romanian people are not so much interested in having scientific careers and this is why the research community is getting older and some initiatives are compulsory to be taken. The project coordinator, Romanian Space Agency, aims to integrate activities trying to transmit ideas like "researchers are like you and me", "researchers have hobbies, families, passions, successes, hopes, dreams...", "would you like to be a researcher?", "to be a researcher is fun".
The central attraction of the evening will be the open-air music and laser show "THE SOUNDS OF SCIENCE" poking the sky from the top of a downtown building.
